DOESN'T CARE
That's the Oath of Office that Congress takes. How many of them do you think take any of that seriously. Throw the bums out.
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

i heard this last night on glenn beck, i don't know how i missed that you posted it. but raaawwrr!! jeff and i were pretty much yelling at the computer. and jeff really appreciated the "that's the declaration of independence" part.
also that guy with the island capsizing? what in the world is going on in these peoples' heads? i'm smarter than that! pick me! pick me! :) (no, really, i don't want to be picked!)
oh i forgot to ask - were things really this bad in illinois? because from where i was standing (non politically) i really liked illinois. but i have no idea what politics were like then.
Illinois had a ton of political corruption. The area we lived in was a stronghold of conservatives, but overall it was Big Government - Big Brother all the way. Yuck.
